Time and again I’m asked about cost between if a client hired the floor sanding equipment themselves or hired a company to renovate their floor for them.

The advantage of contracting a company to renovate your Floor is you know the costs and you can guarantee the quality finish you require, but check out their work first.

If you want to renovate your floors your self look in to the hire company and check from others that the machine is balanced properly and if there have been problems with the machines breaking down.

Look at the cost:
Total potential cost - of hiring the machine,
Cost of sheets - discs- and accessories.

The final thing to add to the fixed / variable costs of hiring a floor sander is , do you have to take time off work and finally your experience, Will you potentially have to get a floor sanding company in to finish if you feel the finish you ended up with is not up to your standard.
